an Arizona-born oil painter with a passion for capturing the untamed beauty of the Old West. Raised among the sun-drenched deserts and dramatic horizons of the Southwest, I’ve spent my life immersed in the colors, stories, and spirit that define this iconic region. My exposure to Western culture began in early childhood.

Art has been a constant presence for as long as I can remember, heavily nurtured by my grandmother. She spent many of her years as a professional commercial artist; and also being someone who loves horses and Western imagery, she inspired me to keep creating and instilled in me a lifelong dedication to visual storytelling. Throughout my upbringing I was blessed to receive a plentiful art education throughout the entirety of my school years, as well as from my grandmother's own experience. Directly after graduating High School and while attending some college, I did a year long apprenticeship for tattooing, and spent the following five years a successful tattoo artist, with a specialty on realism. This demanding discipline tested my technical precision, sharp composition, and deep understanding of form. However, the calling to my true passion was too much to ignore, which recently led me to pivot my efforts toward Oil painting full-time.

Today, I create narrative oil paintings designed to feel like scenes from old Western Cinema and the incredible hand painted artworks that promoted them. Drawing inspiration from early 20th-century masters like Frank Tenney Johnson, as well as the incredible modern day masters, my work celebrates the dramatic light, expansive skies, and rich heritage of the American Southwest. I create paintings for those who cherish the allure and adventure of the west, as well as those who cherish the storytelling and art of western films. My art and I are a direct product of this beautiful Sonoran Desert that I have the privilege to explore and celebrate in my work.
